How to Crop a Video with AI Video Cut

Changing the aspect ratio of a video is important to make your content fit various social media platforms. With so many platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, each having their own preferred aspect ratios for long-form and short-form videos, it can feel like a daunting task. AI Video Cut can simplify this process for you through its intelligent features. With its help, you can quickly change the aspect ratio online to adapt your videos to any major social media platform. Step 1: Upload Your Video

  • Open AI Video Cut in your desktop or mobile browser.
  • Click the Sign in button at the top right corner of the screen.
  • Paste the link to your YouTube video and click Submit. Alternatively, you can click Upload file and select a video from your device.

Step 2: Choose the Aspect Ratio

  • Find the Aspect ratio setting under the video thumbnail.
  • Select the aspect ratio option you need:

Step 3: Adjust the Settings

  • Clip length setting In addition to cropping the video, you can also cut it to retain only the most engaging segments. This way, you can prevent viewers from losing interest and make them more likely to share and comment, leading to higher engagement rates.
  • Video type setting Select the type of video that fits your goals best. Open the drop-down menu under Video type to learn more about each type and pick the desired one.
  • Captions setting The majority of people scroll on their social media feeds with the sound off. Captions increase engagement and improve the accessibility of videos. AI Video Cut offers a variety of caption styles to choose from.

If your video is in a less common language, you can select the language manually in the Speech language section. If you don’t want to add captions, toggle the Captions setting off.

Step 4: Export the Cropped Video

  • Once you’ve selected the settings, click the Submit button.
  • Click the video in the list. Preview the video to ensure it meets your expectations.
  • If you’re happy with the results, click Download. If not, click Regenerate to return to the settings selection screen and change your preferences.
